Dr. Georgina Nichols joined The Plastic Surgery Center in 2022. In addition to being a talented aesthetic plastic surgeon, she speaks three languages fluently: Spanish, French and English. The entire team at The Plastic Surgery Center is excited to have a friendly, knowledgeable doctor who can communicate effectively with Sacramento’s diverse population.

Dr. Nichols earned her doctorate in Medicine from the Université Libre de Bruxelles School of Medicine in Belgium. Since graduating, she has studied and practiced medicine in the United States. Prior to arriving in California, she completed a general surgery internship at the University of Texas Houston Health Science Center, a general surgical residency at the Grand Strand Medical Center at the University of South Carolina and a plastic, hand and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Dr. Nichols has licenses to practice medicine in California, Florida and South Carolina.  She is a member of many prestigious societies, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Aesthetic Society, the Latino Surgical Society and the Association of Women Surgeons.

Over the course of her career, Dr. Nichols has published her work in many academic journals, including Annals of Plastic Surgery, Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery and European Journal of Trauma and Emergency Surgery. She has been invited to present her work at over a dozen prestigious conferences for industry organizations such as the American Association of Plastic Surgery and the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.

Dr. Nichols is not your average plastic surgeon. She is the military spouse of a lifer in the US Air Force, the daughter of middle-class Venezuelan engineer parents, and the mother of a bilingual young boy.

When it comes to her work, she strives for excellent results, and understands they are achieved by the small details. She has an aesthetic eye and a feminine touch. Her life experiences, and Latino background solidified her belief in delivering compassionate, individualized, and tailored care to each of her patients. She values the privilege her patients give her by allowing her to take care of them.

When she’s not practicing medicine, Dr. Nichols enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, watching documentaries and playing tennis. She also loves to travel and interact with people of different cultures. Her enthusiasm for forming connections with her patients has quickly made her a popular doctor at The Plastic Surgery Center.
