Nonsurgical facial rejuvenation in SacramentoLike many people, you may be preparing to head back into the office and reenter the social scene for the first time in over a year. But a quick look in the mirror may reveal that your skin has visibly suffered from the stress and uncertainty of the pandemic.

Are you motivated to address lines and wrinkles and get a fresh start before reconnecting with coworkers and friends in person? The team at The Plastic Surgery Center offers many non-surgical solutions so you can put your best wrinkle-free face forward as you resume normal life.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

With laser skin resurfacing, the top layer of damaged, wrinkled skin is vaporized to reveal new, healthy skin. Our office offers several different types of lasers, each with unique features targeted to different skin conditions and goals. We will go over the available choices with you to help you find the most suitable approach.

Microneedling with Radiofrequency

Radiofrequency microneedling treatments stimulate collage to improve fine lines, wrinkles, skin laxity and acne scarring. The microneedles on our new state-of-the-art device (Pixel 8), penetrate the skin and send heat via radiofrequency beneath the surface of your epidermis. In result, you enjoy increased collagen, elasticity, skin tightening and remodeling and resurfacing of your skin. This is an excellent treatment that is minimally invasive and requires only two to three days of mild downtime. Results are visible as soon as three weeks after treatment.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion minimizes the appearance of wrinkles by manually exfoliating the outermost layer of skin.  We use a special wand topped with diamond chips to remove the upper skin layers and stimulate the production of collagen, a structural protein essential for smooth skin. In the weeks following treatment, your skin will feel soft to the touch and look smooth and even.

Chemical Peels

Like microdermabrasion and laser skin resurfacing, chemical peels improve skin texture by removing the outer layer of skin. During a chemical peel, we apply a topical solution that causes the top layer of skin to slough off on its own. Peels vary in depth and intensity, from “starter” peels to advanced peels.

Botox

Another way our team can minimize visible wrinkles is by administering Botox injections. Botox temporarily relaxes facial muscles; as they relax, the overlying wrinkle smoothes out. The results last three to six months, and regular injections are recommended to maintain smooth skin.

Dermal Fillers

For larger wrinkles and facial folds, dermal filler injections may be the most appropriate course of action. Dermal fillers instantly volumize by directly filling in the wrinkle, crease or area of lost volume Our team frequently uses dermal fillers to reduce the appearance of nasolabial folds (i.e., creases between the nose and mouth) and other deep lines that develop around the lips and mouth. Like Botox, the results last several months up to two years.
