Dr. Lynne Hackert joined The Plastic Surgery Center in 2007. A native of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Michigan. As a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, she studied Irish, Old Irish, and Russian languages at the University of Dublin – Trinity College for a year prior to entering medical school at Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine. Dr. Hackert finished her general Surgery training at St. Joseph Mercy-Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan. At the University of Southern California, she completed her plastic surgery residency as well as the hand-microsurgery fellowship under Dr. Randy Sherman.
During her decade of training, Dr. Hackert has enjoyed teaching medical students and residents. She has volunteered her time in outreach clinics with the Shriners Hospital for Sick Children in Los Angeles. As a hand-microsurgery fellow, she served as clinical faculty for Los Angeles County Hospital supervising a spectrum of traumatic and reconstructive cases.
Dr. Hackert and her husband, John, live in Rancho Cordova with their three marvelous cats. In her free time, she enjoys attending renaissance festivals, learning to cultivate orchids and other gardening adventures, gourmet cooking, attending musical events, traveling, and skiing.
